Monsters - We are all Monsters
Chesler writes movingly about the outrage that these feminist must remain anonymous because Islamic fascism has become so powerful in Europe. Additionally, the left's hate speech laws have bankrupted women in Britain and France who attempted to protest the Islamification of their own culture. Now, in honor of International Woman’s Day, (March 8th), a number of anonymous European feminist groups has expanded their mission to veil-and-shroud the female statues and monuments in the cities of Moscow, Finland, Germany. In their
press release they state that they wish to “inspire the public to discussion concerning Islamisation and associated taboo subjects. ”Thus far, they have veiled eight statues with a Burqa or a headscarf. Each statue has been fitted with a signboard which compares western-style concepts of gender equality and
human rights to be contrasted with a quote from the Qu’ran. The press release further states:
“The aim of the campaign is to refer to the creeping
Islamisation endangering the European idea of UNITY IN DIVERSITY and other similar cultural achievements of the liberal thinking world. Particularly, the phenomenon that Muslim women wear increasingly Burqa or headscarfs, is a visible expression of the challenge and threat to our liberal societies with their values such as women’s rights, democracy, liberal and secular thinking.
Through our action we want to show that there exist taboo subjects in a certain religious movement…,It is not racist to point out these issues, it is racist to keep ourselves from protecting and advocating the rights of the women in the Muslim world, whether they live in foreign countries or in ours.
So, where are the women’s rights activists who used to stand up for women’s rights for the Western women in the our world? There is no reason and no need to leave these Muslim women alone without help in sight.”
This silencing will come to the US and it will be supported by the same left women who are urging us now to vote for the messiah Obama. They will lecture us about racism and call us monsters as Samantha Power of Harvard is doing to Hillary Clinton now.
As a foreign policy adviser to the Obama campaign Power told The Scotsman Newspaper "off the record" that Hillary Clinton was really a Monster. "Hillary is really desperate, her campaign tactics are desperate. I hope you people overseas, see her actions as desperate", she told them.
Basically she was telling the foreign newspaper what to say about Hillary's campaign while supposedly doing an interview about her book. This is how all that negative crap from "unnamed sources" get spread all over the media. Obama's campaign is doing this continually and it is the source of most of the sexist TV and newspaper coverage of the Clinton campaign and of Hillary herself. It is how the disparaging remarks about Bill Clinton keep surfacing. "Left Coaster" has documented this tactic by Obama far better than I can. Read it and Weep.
Samantha Power, as a totally male identified woman, said Hillary Clinton, a woman far her better, is a Monster.
Power wrote one of my favorite books, "A Problem from Hell" which is about the world's response to genocide in 4 or 5 specific instances. One of those instances was Saddam Hussein's genocide of his people, including attacks on the Kurds, complete with pictures.
Power's book, true to leftist politics was an attack on US policies and procedures. Lesser criticism was given to the United Nation.
Yet when Bush attacked Iraq to stop the genocide, Powers was strangely silent. Read the book. Anyone would think Power was urging the world to act the way activists are now urging the world to act in Darfur. But no. Only silence from Power as the foreign countries she had named as accessories to Saddam's genocide attacked the US for the invasion. Those same countries had been bribed by Saddam to oppose the invasion and Power knew it. But she remained silent.
I wrote to her saying it was important she speak out. That her whole book was about how people's lack of support for leaders who intervened in genocide was what allowed it to happen repeatedly and unchecked in the world.
I wrote Power that maybe now she understood how hard it was for people to step outside of the opinions of their peers and justify what others found unacceptable in light of their predictable partisan politics.
After all, she had sounded a call to action against Saddam in her book when she felt it was politically correct and acceptable. It was then an attack on the US which is traditional and honored by the left intelligentsia. Now she would have to support a conservative politician's actions because he was doing what she had advocated. Power said the morally correct action was to stop that genocide.
She wrote back with the arrogance of a Michelle Obama, another privileged Harvard graduate. How dare I speak thus to her, a Harvard Professor? Who was I, to dare address her in such a manner? And more such arrogance - she implied I was a worm who could not possibly understand the complexities of her lofty thoughts. And please don't write her again.
And now this hypocrite who was silent in the face of genocide just so she could maintain the respect of the boys on the left, calls Hillary, a Monster.
In the early days of the women's movement, Vintage Books published a book of poems by Robin Morgan titled Monster (1972). I was reminded of this by Samantha Power calling Hillary a monster.
Here is a little from Robin Morgan's poem, "Monster":
Listen, I'm really slowly dying
inside myself tonight.
And I am not about to run down the list
of rapes and burnings and beatings and smiles
and sulks and rages and all the other crap
you have laid on women throughout your history....
...
...dreaming more and more when I can sleep
of being killed or killing
Sweet revolution, how I wish the female tears
rolling silently down my face this second were each a bullet
each word I write, each character on my typewriter, bullets
to kill whatever it is in men that built this empire,
colonized my very body,
then named the colony, Monster.
...
Oh mother, I am tired and sick.
One sister, new to the pain of feminist consciousness
for want of a scream to name it, asked me last week ,
"But how do you stop from going crazy?"
No way, my sister.
No way.
This is pore war, I thought once, on acid.
...
May we go mad together my sisters
May our labor agony in bringing forth this revolution
be the death of all pain.
May we comprehend that we cannot be stopped.
May I learn how to survive until my part is finished.
May I realize that I
am a Monster. I am
a monster.
I am a monster.
And I am proud.

Firing Powers was a mistake, Obama has shown himself to be subservient to the PIAPS.
Great post. Obama’s aide was right. Hillary is a monster. Of course not the same kind of monster as Hitler, Mao or Stalin, but a monster nonetheless.
