As for the election, I do watch with one eye and I have to say I couldn't feel sadder for Hillary. As successful as she is and as compromising as she has had to be and as beat up as she gets for her deviations from following the rules or beat up for following the rules, I have never seen a woman more victimized by the patriarchy at the professional level than Hillary Clinton. Sometimes, I watch her and see her long wedding veil trailing across America and wrapping itself wherever it can slide without getting stuck. I have to think a long time about that.
