Republicans Vote for Obama

Why are Republicans allowed to vote in Democratic primaries in Wisconsin?

If Hillary loses it will be because they cross over to defeat the candidate who will be the most substantive threat to their corporate rule. Ronald Reagan's son was on some TV show the other night and he basically said that republicans should cross over in democratic primaries and vote for Obama as the least qualified candidate to run against McCain.

Why are Republicans allowed to vote for Democratic candidates in primary elections? These are elections for the candidate the party wants to represent it in an election campaign against a Republican- so why do Republicans get to choose Democratic presidential candidate?
