Divide and Conquer
We are urged to find "outlets of civility" which are less threatening to the government. Yet how many have objected to the use of the word tea baggers to describe tea party, even when used on TV? Where are the objections to the name calling on both sides?
The chorus has started as it does when ever the people both on the left and right start to voice their suspicion that big money not democracy runs our country. Now we have warnings that there will be an assassination or bombing if this unrest continues.
And if we do not shut up and go home there WILL be an incident. Perhaps by out of control civilians or perhaps manufactured by pentagon counter intelligence units. Then we will be told these dead bodies are our fault. And we will slink off to our homes (or our cars which have become our homes) and shut up. The government will use the incident to further infiltrate our organizations and leadership.
Now it is true that the tea party organization is well funded by the Right just as move-on and immigration rights groups are well funded by the Left. Therefore, all these groups are working for what ultimately benefits millionaires rather than working people.
I write for the independents who are forced into these groups because in working for their own class rights they are unfunded and ignored. Let us start looking at the traps that have been set for us. Let us think about what actions return power to the people rather than transferring all decisions to politicians who belong to big money and twist all our reforms to benefit big money. Real reform will transfer the power from the elites to the people.
For instance, a third party just rearranges the chairs. We need public funding of elections without any private donations. We need public initiative referendums to initiate bills rather than bills being initiated by legislators . The legislators can hold hearing on initiatives as the election approaches and these hearings should be televised during times when people are not working. Let the voters decide what legislation is necessary. Let public debate educate the people before the votes.
Instead of the hypocrisy of voting without identification that the corrupt dems are pushing let's stop the obscenity of voting while the working class is at work. Let's vote all day on Saturday from 6 am until 10 pm. There is no need for immediate TV results.
The Supreme Court should be televised both in their oral argument and in their decision conferencing, just as WI Supreme CT deliberations are televised. Right now we have imperial court system unavailable to the working class and that is also a part of the problem.
Have you heard Obama just gave 57 million to his nuclear industry campaign funders?
