Thank you for joining Puma PAC! We are thrilled with the tremendous response to our new political action committee. A few things about us: we are a 527 organization registered with the IRS, established in June 2008, and registered with the Federal Election Commission as an unaffiliated political action committee.
We are completely grassroots. That means we are not connected or associated in any way, unofficially or officially, with any campaign, company, other PAC, or any other group of any kind. All of the funds we raise are from small, individual donors like you.
Contributions to Puma PAC are used to fund our political activities and are not tax deductible. Our PAC activity goals include advertising, lobbying, and fundraising for political causes we support.
Please read our official goals on the "PAC Goals" page on our website.
In short, we support the candidacy of Hillary Clinton for president. We are protesting the actions and inactions of the DNC during this campaign. We are protesting the sexism and bias against Hillary Clinton and her supporters by the media. We are supporting those political leaders and groups who have stood against the bias and supported our first three goals.
Our website, http://blog.pumapac.org is the official website and blog for our PAC. To comment on the message boards on our blog you need to register as a new user at the site. This registration is separate from your membership in the PAC.
You can choose to register to comment on the blog or not, it's up to you. You're a Puma PAC member either way. That being said, we have a very active blog with lots of great commenters. If you are excited to be a part of Puma PAC you will enjoy reading the blog. It is a wonderful forum and source of ideas, inspiration, and answers.
I welcome you to Puma PAC. We are at the very beginning of our journey to fix the Democratic party so that it works for, is respectful of, and welcoming to ALL Democrats in ALL 50 states. We will do this work together, and we will reap the benefits together -- for ourselves, for our once-great party, and for the country we love.
Sincerely,
Darragh Murphy.
