Chesler Chronicles is asking feminists to confront the anti semitism of the current feminist movement . Where does it come from, how does it manifest and which Saudi prince does it serve?

We all watched NOW refuse to confront Muslim terrorism of women by sharia law, watched feminists refuse to support the liberation of Muslim women by US troops even in Afghanistan, confronted only silence from feminists as honor killings occur in the US and Canada.

Yet how can feminists choose Hamas and Hezbollah over the Israel democracy? The idea is ludicrous - yet, now MS has committed a blatant act of Anti Semitic bias and it becomes all too clear that the Arabs have bought off our leaders and our institutions. They do own 51 % of Rupert Murdock's media empire which may account for the sexist campaign coverage.

Chesler exposed the problem in two posts you must read. The first is "Ms. Magazine Blocks Ad on Israeli Women"

MS refused an ad from a Jewish organization. "The proposed ad (The Ad Ms. Didn’t Want You To See) included a text that merely said, “This is Israel,” under photographs of President of the Supreme Court Dorit Beinish, VicePrime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Tzipi Livni and Knesset Speaker Dalia Itzik." All women holding high office in Israel. Elinor Smeal refused to take their calls.

Robin Morgan, whom I personally introduced to Gloria and suggested that Gloria hire her as an editor in the mid-70s, has functioned as one of her enforcers. Morgan’s position on Israel and Judaism is beneath contempt. She has romanticized the United Nations Reliefs and Works Agency for Palestinian
Refugees (UNRWA) and demonized Israel and Judaism for a very long time. Post 9/11, Morgan identified with the possible persecution of Muslim men, whom she
feared would soon be racially profiled by America, and she identified as a Palestinian-like victim herself, since she lived in the West Village, or close to Ground Zero.

call me lucky!)
I have no idea how influential Gloria still is vis a vis
the magazine. It matters not. It does not matter that
her recent media venture with Jane Fonda, Robin Morgan, and Lily Tomlin failed. What matters is that people pay attention to the political positions. The Feminist Majority took over Ms magazine. Elly Smeal is now in charge, as is Kathy
Spillars.
