Nuclear Power
We must start eliminating nuclear power plants wherever they exist. I presume you will no longer be duped by those who are profiting from building them. Ask yourself - what have they been doing with the waste?
Because they have been dumping it all around you and in your water.
There was an incredibly stupid woman on TV whining; "what will the Japanese doooooo, they have no other energy resources except for nuclear power". Good grief! They have the sun, the wind, water and geo-thermal as does the US. They cannot make as much profit off these resources however.
We will either start to mass produce really clean, cheap energy or die. If governments do not take this on as a primary responsibility, we will die. It is not to be left to Wall Street or we will die.
No, there are not too many people for clean energy to be viable. But for god's sake, we should be controlling population and reducing the ridiculous overpopulation that only adds to our own exploitation and misery .7 Billion people expanding at a rate of one billion a year. The seas fished out - whales and primates poached. Endangered species poached. Tax credits should be given to those who do not reproduce; tax penalties for those who do. User taxes should fund the schools.
If we continue to insult the earth, she will reduce population for us and then it will be too late.
