Marching with you in Spirit
My mother and father were both WWII veterans, met and married in their uniforms. Rose was one of the first 200 women to serve in the military. Her story along with my dads' is in the WI Veteran's Museum. Thank you, Rose and Fred for your service.
Also, I want to thank those men and women who served and are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan seeking to liberate those countries from fascism. Especially those of you who guarded Condi Rice's woman's shelters. Those of you who rescued a dog and brought them home. Those of you who are building water treatment plants and public works projects. Those of you who are an example of the best the US has to offer.
I want to thank all those of you who set up networks between the soldiers and the people here in the US. such as: Spirit of America; SHARP Program; Vet Wow; SWAN; Campaign for women and girls; For any soldier; Initiative to educate Afghan Women; Security Sector; Operation Baghdad Pups; WI Veterans Museum; Veteran Feminists of America; (Female)Soldier for Hillary
If you still do not understand why sometimes you have to fight evil with war, go to Uppity Woman and watch the video.
