What is Pantheism? DNA is another word for God - You are one of its' manifestations

Pantheism holds that the cosmos, taken or conceived of as a whole, is synonymous with God.

The Cosmos is divine, and the earth sacred.

The Cosmos is divine, all share divinity.

Divinity does not transcend reality it surrounds us, and is within.

Divinity is immanent. - Robb Miller

Pantheists do not propose belief in a deity; rather, they hold nature itself as a creative presence.

Pantheism reconciles science and religion through ecology leading to strong environmental awareness.

Pantheists believe in Divine Immanence.

To the Pantheist, divinity does not transcend reality; it surrounds, and is within.

All share divinity.

This leads the pantheist to personal ethics of tolerance and understanding.

How much is in a name!

When we call the power back of all God, it smells of creeds and systems, of superstition, intolerance, persecution; but when we call it Nature, it smells of spring and summer, of green fields and blooming groves, of birds and flowers and sky and stars. I admit that it smells of tornadoes and earthquakes, of jungles and wildernesses, of disease and death to, but these things make it all the more real to us.

The word God has so long stood for the conception of a being who sits apart from Nature, who shapes and rules it as its maker and governor. It is part of the conception of a dual or plural universe, God and Nature. This offends my sense of the oneness of creation.

It seems to me that there is no other adequate solution of the total problem of life and Nature than what is called pantheism, which identified mind and matter, finite and Infinite, and sees in all these diverse manifestations one absolute being.

As Emerson truly says, pantheism does not belittle God, it magnifies it. God becomes the one and ultimate fact that fills the universe and from which we can no more be estranged than we can be estranged from gravitation.

The Pantheist sees all life as a whole. Wo/Man is not an exception, but part of the total scheme. The life-principle is the same in them as in all else that lives.

In the weed, the tree, and in wo/man, the principle is the same.

What has set up this organizing power and so impressed it that it goes on from lower to higher forms, and unfolds the whole drama of evolution through the geologic ages, is the mystery of mysteries. To solve this mystery, humans invented gods and acts of creation. ...more

(Greenconsciousness Note: this above is a quote from a pantheist essay to the truth which is on their web page but I altered it to remove the sexist way of thought exposed by the language chosen.)

God - Consciousness

Check out this web site below which is devoted to human beings open to a sober examination and response to the big questions phenomenon that has occurred since the inception of the Internet.

I went there and the illustration is beautiful beyond belief but the rest was just a lot of words about god and other entities of interest to the author. I did not read much of it I admit. I am really not that interested in reading about someone's idea of GOD. I do not believe in a GOD outside of myself. Same thing about aliens - I cannot get excited about that which is not real to me. There is the collective consciousness and it has a power I can feel but I want to feel it,and understand where it is moving. I would want more illustration and shorter posts about actually moving energy in the world we are in now, (which is a criticism I have of my own blog too). If there is something in particular you think is related to my posts tell me and I will go look at it or say it here and I will respond.

ok I went back and tried again = no it is just too abstract and the conclusion is a big so what?

"Most human beings can spend their entire existence imprisoned within the confines of limited thought or choose to discover the essence of their true identity within a dimension of consciousness where no conceptual prisons exist. There is no need to separate from that which was, is or shall be. You are and will always be one with the light for you are energy and consciousness, guided by intelligence and truth. Your experience in the physical world is not the beginning of the end, it is the end of the beginning. You can experience subtle faculties of reason, creativity and imagination if you choose to experience the existence of joy through compassion. Fully aware of each moment, you are able to know the depth of your true being by letting the light of joy through compassion embrace and envelope your new existence within its warmth."

Words words words - what is compassion? I feel it is compassionate to free animals and human slaves with force if necessary - with war if necessary. This author in previous posts says compassion and peace in the same breath as if the two are always the same (actually an inner feeling of peace comes from compassionate thoughts but so what?).

No, I have read books like this my whole life - now I prefer more plain, concrete speech. Blueprints and demonstrated results.

We all want things - just saying "think it without negativity and it is yours" is a tired thought and it does not always work. There are things that work but reworked Crowley is not enough for me anymore.

I want to time travel - I want to fly - I want to meet with my inner beings at my will and more. There is more I want.

Compassion is so not enough. AND Beaming out compassion to the wrong people almost got me killed and did get my animals killed. I am not receptive to this kind of talk any more although I wish it was true -- I am so sorry.

I invite you to talk back if you wish to and I am glad you came here - don't worry I will keep thinking and visiting the site.

I am impressed by the lust for life described in your brief comments. You possess a great compassion especially relative to your feelings.

The survival of humanity and life itself is most effected by people whose compassion drives them towards understanding the complex world they are unable to escape.

My agenda (hopefully a contagious one) would be to conduct myself in a way that is not detrimental to others...to express myself in ways that will make others feel good. The basis of my approach being kindness and compassion that leads others to an all encompassing global view that each and every one of us is a vital part in the measure of social progress.

I wish you well.

See, I totally agree with these brief comments you have made here. Now here is the deal. You are saying you recognize and respect the godhood of all beings. You are saying you have mastered your instincts. That your discipline is not just to get an idea across but to make the listener feel good about themselves and the idea - this is how you act with compassion. I would like to be/have your agenda also. I know kindness, love, mercy, compassion is The Way. But it is impossible for me on a sustained basis although I work at it, because of a lot of conditioning toward negativity and i stupidly often value the idea more than the person. I recognize that not only is the attitude you call your "agenda" good for others and the world ---it brings success to those who express it sincerely.

I love knowing there are people who can actualize your agenda. I love it when I meet them and they always help me a lot. I would say that I would be in hell right now if it were not for such people. So I not only wish you well, I say people like you are golden - you are the angels, you are Kwan Yin.

I also say the illustrations on your site are the best on the web. I have some similar on my Places Moon under ART that are a also good, I think I called it good spiritual art or something like that. But yours are fantastic and wonderful. People should go look at them.

"that leads others to an all encompassing global view that each and every one of us is a vital part in the measure of social progress."

We all seek to know what constitutes life, how it comes into being, and its fundamental portions that constitute a whole both individually and universally. Some people realize that everything is really an outward representation of subjective forces but desire to know how the spiritual forces of life make the transformation from the invisible into representations that comprise their inner spirit.

Where to begin?

A human must first know them self, the vital and fundamental portions that give them being, the knowledge of the positive and negative forces of their being and all the associated ramifications. A human being must also understand their corporeal existence and its care, the emotions and their conversion into mental power, and the evolution of mind to spiritual consciousness. The creation and ultimate development of the mind is found through the evolution of emotions, desires, inspiration, analytical development etc. and their respective balance.

It is only by applying the outward world to the inner, the human mind is able to begin to conceive the majestic cycle and unique manifestation of the universe.

I wish you well.

Now here is where you fell off the deep end into obscure abstraction.
"but desire to know how the spiritual forces of life make the transformation from the invisible into representations that comprise their inner spirit."

One can barely understand this it is so abstract but I think I know what you mean and I will answer. If I missed the mark, tell me more concretely what you are talking about.

I know how to manifest and I know how it works, spirit to matter. I know how I was imprinted and I know how the patterns of natural law repeat in endless variation of the basic energies. Knowing is not enough.

If you visit my explanation of the earth holidays http://www.greenconsciousness.org/ one by one, starting with the Winter Solstice and know what you are reading, you will see that as an explanation of what you refer to in your comments above and in my own journals I elaborate (unnecessarily perhaps). But it is a lot of words again and somewhat tiresome to those who already know. I am at this time making some changes in the summer solstice which absolutely requires some clean up but the basic is still there. To be accurate is a compulsion of mine.

No, all the things you say a human must know, I do know. Knowing is not enough to be able to actually manifest your "agenda" of compassion. What I need to master it is FAITH and I do not have faith in humanity. I have a solid distrust of those you seek to inspire. In my heart I have come to believe that they are not worth it. Have you seen the new wiccans who sell religion just like Swaggert while they eat the flesh of the animals they profess to commune with? Puke and double puke.

I look at the anti-war movement and it is not just their tactics that are despicable but their lack of empathy for those held in slavery and given acid baths by the dictator. Liberating them is not worth it but support of the dictator is where they are comfortable. Why give anything to such people? And the others mostly do not do the war for liberation. They support the war for the profit to be derived from it. And the idealist who really are acting from compassion are being slaughtered. Puke. And this reality is being repeated in every struggle between good and evil in the world.

There are too many predators and leeches in this world. I used to believe in evolutionary change but I am come to a place where I am so repulsed by all of the people in the world. This condition is not helped by knowledge of occult matters. It is a loss of Faith.

Now I search for a way to exist outside the world and save what I can of its' non-human victims. I will use my power to shield myself and those who are with me and that is enough.

I will leave evolution and teaching to those with a stronger foundation.

I went here - fist to your home page Off the Grid, then to
Light Perceivers Of God And Angels

The illustration is where I want to live. I want to find this place and manifest the ability to live there with my cats.

The words I believe and I do not at the same time. I have end stage glaucoma. The nerves from my eyes to my brain are fried. It has nothing to do with what I believe or what I have manifested. The evil in your philosophy is that it causes those who are victims of fate and the DNA sequence to doubt themselves for that over which they have no control. There is no cure right now.

Yet, I believe there will be a cure. This is where I think your words are true and I may have some control. Despite the fact that I have no money I believe there will be a breakthrough and I will get the surgery.

Of course, if I am wrong I will be blind and really angry.

well this was a nice exchange of kindness you were spending your time doing research for me and I was writing my webmaster to tell him when he gets back from vacation I want Off the Grid put on my green column to the right. Because I am going back often and reading sections and thinking about them and that is good for me.My initial reaction is never my end reaction. I am going to spend the day reading the links you have sent. I have one on the favorite places column to your right. I was led there. Harvard is close. They have regenerated the nerve but they cannot attach all the millions of gangelia to the brain and they do not know all the places even if they could. (They say there have been some so called drug breakthroughs but it is BS, I know it and they do to - they use the kind of words a person uses when the results are really not that good.)

Well, I am off to use your links, so to store all the info I can in my brain. I see you read Sedona Magaine - I do to when I have money. I like those people although I do not share all their beliefs. But who knows, I do not know everything consciously.

Thank You for your Kindness to Me!

Dear Orflin, I hope you come back here one more time to read this - we just had a huge lightning and thunder storm which I always love and I had the thought to tell you about something. You probably know about this but in case you do not the NOVA Series from WBGH in Boston has a segment called "The Elegant Universe" with Brian Greene.
http://shop.wgbh.org/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CatalogSearchResultView?storeId=11051&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&pageSize=20&searchText=elegant+universe

This video sort of sums up what I believe about GOD and the Universe. If you have not seen it, I recommend it to you.
