Make your own microwave popcorn
Small brown paper bag (lunch size)
Large bowl
Small, microwave-safe dish
Ingredients:
½ cup popping corn
2-3 tablespoons Earth Balance vegan buttery spread
½ teaspoon dried rosemary
¼ teaspoon thyme
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
Cayenne pepper, to taste
Salt, to taste
Directions:
Pour the popping corn kernels into the bag. Fold over the top of the bag two to three times to close.
- Put the bag on its side in the microwave and pop on high power for 2-3 minutes. Microwaves vary, so keep a close eye on the popcorn. When the popping slows to about 2 seconds between pops, remove the bag from the microwave. There may be a few dozen unpopped kernels. This is normal. Pour the popcorn into a bowl and set aside.
