Pass the Equal Rights Amendment for Women
Dear Puma PAC,
Did you know that the Equal Rights Amendment, which was written by Alice Paul and introduced in 1923, is only THREE STATES short of ratification? Every year the ERA is brought to a vote in the remaining states. If it passes in just THREE of them, the ERA can finally go back to Congress for final ratification and become the law of the land!
We can DO IT!

THE EQUAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT
Section 1. Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by theUnited States or by any state on account of sex.
Section 2. The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate
legislation, the provisions of this article.
Section 3. This amendment shall take effect two years after the date of ratification
That's it. The entire amendment that would enshrine in our Constitution the rights of American women to be explicitly the same as the rights of American men. There is nothing in there about drafting women into the military. Nothing about gay marriage. Nothing about abortion, contraception, religion, or marriage. There is nothing in the E.R.A. that would change parental rights, divorce laws, child support, alimony, or ANYTHING. All it says is that "under the law" women will not be treated differently from men.
