Human Trafficking bill would make slavery a felony in Wisconsin
Trafficking human beings for sex or cheap labor would be a felony in Wisconsin under a bill a legislative committee is considering.
The measure sets out a maximum penalty of $100,000 in fines and 25 years in prison for anyone convicted of trafficking people for labor, services or a commercial sex act.
The bill calls for the state Office of Justice Assistance to start tracking human trafficking cases in Wisconsin. The proposal also allows the state attorney general or a district attorney to ask a judge to dissolve any business engaged in the practice.
The National Conference of State Legislatures says more than 16 other states already have laws addressing human trafficking.

I think the step taken by The National Conference of State Legislature has been too beneficial for the people of Wisconsin.
