Update on animals left behind in settlements during disengagement -- still time to save lives
Since Wednesday, August 10th, Cat Welfare Society Activists have been going to the West Bank settlements of Ganim and Kadim to rescue cats left behind when their feeders were evacuated. So far they have trapped, neutered and vaccinated over 140 cats and kittens. They also rescued a 14- year-old Mini pincher whose owners requested assistance because they were unable to take him. (There are two more settlements in north Shomron and 20 more in Gush Katif in Gaza where animals have been left behind).
The Noah animal organizaton federation is planning a cooperative rescue operation in Gaza but as yet has not received any funding.
Letters are needed to prevent the death of hundreds of abandoned cats during the Gaza Disengagement
Please send polite letters to the following government ministers urging them to get involved and help fund the rescue efforts: (Sample letter)
